Volunteer Coach Overview

Purpose of the Role: Create a positive learning environment where the girls learn sportsmanship, fundamental skills, teamwork, and responsibility.

We are looking for volunteers committed to the principles of positive coaching.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to model and teach players to Honor the game by incorporating elements of ROOTS:  Respect for: Rules, Officials, Opponents, Teammates and one's Self.
• Ability to help players redefine what it means to be a winner, not just on the scoreboard by using the ELM approach to development: Effort, Learning and bouncing back from Mistakes.
• Ability to fill emotional tanks through encouragement and positive reinforcement as primary motivating techniques. 
• Be passionate about Basketball. Have a desire to work with youth.
You are enthusiastic, patient, organized, mature, dependable, and responsible.
