Hello RGBA Community Members:
RGBA is following guidelines for COVID19 and safety precautions for basketball practice, scrimmages and tournaments.
SEASON RESTART 2021 (UPDATED 1/1/2021)
Here are some important details about the 2021 Season restart. We understand some of these conditions are not ideal and somewhat constricting, but at the end of the day - we'll be getting these girls back into the gym to play some basketball.
These guidelines are set by our RGBA board, the Governor's office, and MN Department of Health. Regardless of individual opinions on the matter, it is important that all coaches, players, and parents follow ALL guidelines to the best of our ability.
-
Practices: Start on 1/4/2021. You should hear from your coaches regarding your practice times.
-
Masks: Masks must be worn by all players and coaches during practices and games, no exceptions.
-
Parent Spectators: At this time, no parent spectators will be allowed at any practices or games. If this changes we will notify you.
-
Daily Screening/Attendance Tracking: Coaches will need to track attendance at practices and games. Parents must continue to screen for COVID symptoms before practices and games.
-
Enhanced Reporting: We will be required to report on a bi-weekly basis the number of players/coaches that have tested positive or are in quarantine due to close contact. Note that we are only reporting numbers, not names of positive cases or quarantines.
-
Return to COMPETITION: Since 1/14 is the Governor's date to return to competition - we are scrambling to work with other associations to determine the remaining season. Wait to hear from your Director and or Coach for upcoming tournament/game details.
Thanks for your patience as we attempt to iron out the details to get the season restarted.
